Advanced breed-specific information
The Jack Russell Terrier HandbookI have read quite a few Jack Russell books and this is very informative and very well written I would recommend this book highly, especially to someone interested in Jack Russells it explains a lot about the breed, showing, feeding, training and just understanding these special dogs. It's a must read!

One of the Best Cheesecake Books Ever!
Not for the faint of heart...The book is extremely helpful in it's layout. Rather than include a crust recipe along with every cheesecake recipe in the book, this cookbook lists one recommended crust recipe and the page it can be found on with each cheesecake recipe, but you can also mix and match to suit your tastes (I personally preferred an Oreo-crumb crust to the vanilla-wafer crust the book suggested for its dark chocolate cheesecake). There are also sections for toppings and glazes, and there is also a section on no-bake cheesecakes, and even a few recipes for cakes that aren't "real" cheesecakes, but contain cream cheese nonetheless.
Most of the recipes in this cookbook are more complicated than the 3-step cheesecake recipes you find on the back of cream cheese boxes in the supermarket, but the difference in quality is unbelievable. I made the pumpkin cheesecake for an office Thanksgiving party, and it was such a hit that 3 co-workers paid me $25 apiece to make one for each of them for the holidays!
There is a type of cheesecake in this book for every taste out there, from apple to chocolate to walnut. The only thing missing is recipes for savory cheesecakes, which I've seen in some food catalogs, but that's such a minor quip it doesn't dectract from the usefulness of this book. All in all, if you have ever tried cheesecake and loved it or even remotely liked it, you'll find something in this cookbook to satisfy you.
The best "cheesecake" how-to book

Great referenceMicrobiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers (ISBN:0971999635)
The second book helped me prepare for the kind of questions on my medical microbiology tests. In fact, both these books helped me to get a 93 average in my medical microbiology class. I was recommended these two books from a friend of mine in another med school. He also got high grades on his medical microbiology exams.
When you're taught by Dr. alcamo, you stay taught.

you have to listen to his audiobook- ITS GREAT!Great author, great story, even better on tape!
(aren't they always though!)
An exceptional novel.
an absolute MUST read!!!!In careful, exact prose, Amy Hassinger eloquently captures the delicacy of adolescence pulls off a compelling coming of age novel. What distinguishes this work is the humanity with which Hassinger writes--the way she understands and nurtures her characters. Instead of exploiting Dylan's death as a less polished writer might, Hassinger organically evokes the memory of his drowning as it was: quick, sudden, and still confusing after four years; his memory haunts the family like the portraits do all those who look upon them. This is an excellent book by an author whose voice I would follow anywhere.
Nina is a true piece of literary fiction that explores the themes of growing up, love, and family that are relevant to us all. I am an avid reader and this is one of the best books I have read in a LONG time. Do yourself a favor and buy this book TODAY!

Great Cliffsnotes!!

This wonderful book helped me to get into college!
Where was this book when I went to school?
Give "Painless Writing" an A+On my high school graduation day over twenty years ago, I stepped off the platform with a diploma in my hand and a gold cord of excellence around my neck for winning the English award. I sailed with ease through my college composition courses and I annually compose about a thousand messages and memos to perform my job. Therefore, I thought there was nothing that I could learn about writing from a simple, entertaining book like "Painless Writing." I was wrong.
I was excited to discover that some of the topics and techniques covered in "Painless Writing" were new to me. For instance, I had never encountered the term "nominalizations" before. If that term is new to you, too, don't worry; you'll find out how to use them properly. Also, I was surprised to learn that the term "expletive construction" did not pertain to words best left out of fine, cultured writing, but rather, it refers to sentences beginning with the words "there are," "it is," etc.
"Painless Writing" simply explains each new topic and then provides exercises with answers to allow you to practice the new skills and techniques being covered. These exercises are not dull and boring like those we suffered with in our grammar books once-upon-a-time ago; they are entertaining and delightful.
Sample examples show both "poor" and "better" writing. I thought this method of teaching was extremely helpful.
The test answers are written out completely and then explained by the author. So, if you choose a wrong answer, you can see why the other answer was correct. This extra effort on the author's part is invaluable.
Another feature that I liked was the page numbering. "Say, what?" you say. Yes, I loved the page numbering. Each page number is written large enough for even forty-year old eyes to read and highlighted in a pink circle making it easy to see (this is great for flipping to the answer section).
I have already begun to incorporate some techniques that I learned from this book into both my private and professional writing.
Good job, Jeffrey Strausser.
The contents cover the following topics: Preposition clutter, enlivening writing, silencing the passive voice, reducing nominalizations/activating your writing, smoothing out your writing, using commas (not a boring chapter! you'll like it), adding rhythm to your writing, ten common writing errors (several of which I needed review), and for those still in school-a real bonus-a template for writing a term paper.
End of comments.
